41-GP-22 is a standard for process equipment made from chemical reistant fiberious reinforced plastic, commonly called FIBERGLASS or FRP. This
standard was developed in 1969 by a committee of 37 representatives from government and the fiberglass industry. The standard combined many individual
publications from the ASTM group in the USA.
WHAT DOES THIS STANDARD MEAN TO THE CONSUMER?
41-GP-22 is a manufacturing standard for producing Fiberglass or FRP process equipment. Spelling out construction and design methods.
41-GP-22 spells out the laminate construction procedures for achieving maximum tensile and flexual strengths.
41-GP-22 describes how joints are bonded and establishes fabrication standards as how to make those joints.
SIZES
Sizes of tanks, pipe, and duct work are clearly defined. Bolting patterns are well defined, these patterns eliminate mismatches to standard steel flanges.
PRESSURES
Wether internal or vacuum pressures, standards are laid down as to the required material thickness achieving a 10-1 safety factor.
VESSELS
Tanks, round or square, etc, are defined stating dimensions and tolerances, wall thickness and mechanical property requirements.
DELIVERY
How to deliver and ship fiberglass equipment.
41-GP-22 IS YOUR ASSURANCE OF QUALITY BUILT FIBERGLASS PROCESS EQUIPMENT.
ECR GLASS
Major advances in glass technology have occured. ECR Glass represents the leading edge in the acidic environment. ECR Glass has received the Loyal
Approved Certificate from Germany Din 1259, ISO 2078 and ASTM D.579 approval for improved performance in Acidic environment. Oshawa
Glass-Fibre uses only ECR Glass for fabricating for maximum service life.
